Ariche Ensemble
Ariche Ensemble is a band that plays the Venezuelan folk music. The objective main is promote the diffusion of the music of Venezuela in the world, for that every people know and value it positively. The group is conformed for five professional musicians with studies in the National System of Youth and Children´s Orchestras of Venezuela. Its members are: Hidalgo Leon (Flute), Carlos Rodriguez (Cuatro), Emigdio Escalona (Double Bass); Raphael Gonzalez (Clarinet) and Arturo Blanco (Maracas and Drums).
Ariche Ensemble was born in the year 2000, in the city of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, located to 400 km from Caracas, capital of the country of origin. They have a discography production under the name “Coincidencias”, which was recorded independent, and mixed in the National Centre the disco of Venezuela. The album is consists of 10 unpublished songs, that make the band´s repertoire.
Some of the songs are: Maropo, musical rhythm: Joropo of Raphael Gonzalez; Experimentando, musical rhythm: vals, golpe y estribillo of Emigdio Escalona; Amigo Ivan, musical rhythm: vals of Hernan Alvarez; El Misterioso, musical rhythm: venezuelan merengue and Coincidencias, musical rhythm: onda nueva of Carlos Rodriguez; Mi Negrita, musical rhythm: joropo of Hidalgo Leon and finally the song Entreverao, musical rhythm: joropo of Luis Guillermo Perez. All composers are Venezuelans.
Ariche Ensemble has done a lot concerts in all the major cities of his country, Venezuela, during his 10 years of experience. Also has realized three international tours and 14 concerts in the exterior by cities of Canada, France and Colombia. The last tour was in October 2010, sponsored by the Bank of the Republic of Colombia, through the National Library Luis Angel Arango and his Concert Hall of the same name, one of the most important institutions in Latin America and the world. Also the Ariche Ensemble gave concerts in five cities in Colombia (Pasto, Ipiales, Bogota, Quibdo and Villavicencio).
In July 2009, the Ariche Ensemble visited Canada and gave concerts in the Cultural Centre Simon Bolivar in Montreal, in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) located in Montreal, Tanna Schulich Hall of the McGill University in Montreal and in the National Centre of Art in the city of Ottawa.
Also in November of that year, the Ariche Ensemble´s music was heard by the people French in the city of Paris in concerts at the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in the auditorium of the "Maison de l'Amérique Latine" and in the Theater "Jeanne d'Arc" located in the "Ville de Presle" in Paris.
